The redbrick house on Gordon Avenue was built in 1976 on land that at one time belonged to the Beckett family.

The house's private and particularly charming garden is going to be a big attraction for buyers with growing children although the obvious potential to extend, both inside and out, subject to planning permission, will also be a big draw.

Called Ardower, the 121sq m (1,300sq ft) bungalow was designed by architect Des McMahon.

There is a large livingroom that opens directly into a sunroom with lovely views of the garden.

The eat-in kitchen is a good size for a family with built-in units, space for a large dining table and a seating area with a feature red brick fireplace.

There are four bedrooms, all doubles. The main bedroom has an en suite shower room.

A floored attic was part of the original design and it would appear to be ready for easy conversion. It runs from the front to the back of the house with a window at both ends and has an area of 56sq m (612sq ft). At present it is accessed by a folding staircase.

Outside, the garage is currently fitted out as a utility room. The private gardens are beautifully tended and planted and include fruit trees and a vegetable garden.

There is also the usual mix of outbuildings as well as a large, greenhouse.
