DÚN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN

Location: Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14. Proposed development: 150 residential units. Block A: 74 apartments in six-storey with penthouse building. Block B: six storeys with 60 apartments. SOUTH DUBLIN

Location: Old Ballymount Road and Forest Close, Tallaght, Dublin 24. Proposed development: demolish two houses and outbuildings for 25 dwellings in two blocks (A & B) with 10 two-bed apartments and 15 three-bed terraced houses. The apartment buildings range from two to three storeys. Forty surface car-parking spaces and site works. Applicant: Glan Developments Ltd.

FINGAL

Location: site of 0.9 hectares generally bounded by Bridge Street/AIB Bank/George's Square, Vauxhall Street, The Mill Walk and the rear boundary of dwellings facing Clonard Street/car-park and including a separate triangle-shaped parcel of land bounded by Vauxhall Street, 5/5a Dublin Street and Dublin Street, Balbriggan, Co Dublin. Proposed development: building from three to 10 storeys over double basement with 41 retail/commercial units around internal mall on lower and upper ground floor level to accommodate shops, cafés/restaurant, financial services and other non-retail services. The lower ground floor level will consist of 15 retail/commercial units including an anchor store. The upper ground floor level will contain 26 units with an anchor store. DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: O'Neills Cottage, New Road, Donabate, Co Dublin. Proposed development: "eco" estate of 16 zero carbon generating residential units (under the Sustain Energy Ireland's House of Tomorrow project). Demolish and "recycle" pair of single-storey dwellings for eight five-bed detached houses, four five-bed semis and four four-bed semis. DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

Location: AIB Bankcentre, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Proposed development: free standing bronze sculpture 5.3 metres high mounted on a circular stone clad concrete base on the western side of Serpentine Avenue at the public plaza entrance to Block K. Applicant: Allied Irish Banks PLC.
