Earlybirds looking for an apartment in the Castleknock area can view the plans for a new scheme being marketed by agents Hooke & MacDonald.

The first 15 two and three-bedroom units at Rosehaven, off Carpenterstown Road in Dublin 15, are being released today, out of a total of 53 apartments in the entire scheme.

Prices start at £179,950 (228,489) for two-bedroom apartments and £330,000 (419,014) for three-bedroom penthouses.

The development is by McGill Construction, which was responsible for the Ramparts scheme at Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.

Architect Rowe McGill has designed the two two-storey buildings around a landscaped courtyard with a circular water feature.

There is a maximum of 10 units off each entrance lobby and all apartments have balconies and en suite bathrooms.

The retention of mature trees at the front of the site - including a grove of limes close to the entrance gates - will give an instantly mature look to the development when it is completed.

Standard design features include electronic gates to an underground car-park, top quality Rationel timber windows and smart modern bathroom ware and ironmongery.

Wardrobes will be fitted in all bedrooms and ceilings will be taller than average at approximately 2.7 metres.

A typical two-bedroom apartment of up to 870 sq ft will have a neat entrance lobby with the bedrooms off.

The living area layout is semi-open-plan, with a good-sized sitting/diningroom and double doors to a fitted kitchen.

Three-bedroom penthouses from £330,000 (419,013) will offer 1,300 sq ft of accommodation. Here, the sitting and diningrooms will connect with the kitchen in an L-shaped configuration.

Angled ceilings in typical penthouse style are an added attraction. Long railed balconies are designed to run the length of the apartment off the dining area.

The Rosehaven site is located very close to Coolmine rail station at the canal end of Carpenterstown Road.

Both Blanchardstown Shopping centre and Castleknock village are within easy reach.
