The Dublin Docklands Development Authority has made further price cuts to apartments in the Grand Canal Dock area which were previously earmarked for those on the affordable housing list. One-beds are now available from €90,000 - down from €110,000 in May but are restricted to first-time buyers earning less than €58,000. Lisney is selling a total of 15 units for the DDDA. Of these, 14 of them in the Grand Canal Residence, just off Grand Canal Square. These were planned as an extension to the hotel fronting onto the square, and as a result they have very good bathrooms. The 15th unit is an own-door one-bedroom apartment in the Waterfront development nearby which has Facebook as its main commercial tenant.
