A Victorian house in Bray, apartments at Grand Canal Dock and a Phibsboro redbrick are all on view this weekend

IN Bray, Co Wicklow, Sherry FitzGerald is showing a renovated Victorian house at 5 Florence Terrace this weekend. The Dublin Docklands Development Authority has made further price cuts to apartments in the Grand Canal Dock area which were previously earmarked for those on the affordable housing list. One-beds are now available from €90,000 - down from €110,000 in May but are restricted to first-time buyers earning less than €58,000. Lisney is selling a total of 15 units for the DDDA. Of these, 14 of them in the Grand Canal Residence, just off Grand Canal Square. These were planned as an extension to the hotel fronting onto the square, and as a result they have very good bathrooms. The 15th unit is an own-door one-bedroom apartment in the Waterfront development nearby which has Facebook as its main commercial tenant.

Two-beds start at €145,000 – down from €195,000 – and three-beds are priced from €205,000 – down from €229,000.

In Phibsboro, Finnegan Menton is asking €140,000 for a terraced redbrick house at 13 Goldsmith Street – a price that has attracted over 50 viewers in the last couple of weeks. The two-storey house has 110sq m. (1,184sq ft) and it’s in need of refurbishment.

In Howth, Harbour View House has been used as a restaurant, a bicycle shop and a home. Now the detached house, in the heart of the village, is for sale, asking €525,000 through Lisney. The detached, five-bedroom house has planning permission (2008) to be converted to a three-storey apartment block. It has 180sq m (1,938sq ft) and is in need of some refurbishment

In Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, number 6 Woodside Grove, Castlepark, is a four-bedroom semi with a 145ft back garden, asking €795,000 through Lisney. Woodside Grove is a small quiet cul-de-sac of 12 houses adjacent to the Castle Golf Club and with Luas stops of Windy Arbour and Dundrum nearby. In Sandycove, Lisney is asking €570,000 for a modest, three-bedroom semi at 40 Dundela Park, an enclave located between Elton Park and Castlepark Road. Number 40 has around 126sq m (1,356sq ft) of space; some modernisation has taken place (mostly in the form of double glazing), there is plenty of updating still to do.
