Leisure and sports retailer Lifestyle has leased two further shops, one in Killarney and one in Tralee. This follows the opening of outlets in Portlaoise and Galway.
Lifestyle, which has 36 shops in the Republic and 15 in the North, was acquired in a management buy-out following the sale of Quinnsworth, Crazy Prices and Stewarts to Tesco. Mr Stephen Murray, of Jones Lang Wootton, who advised the management group on the property aspects of the deal, has now been appointed to carry out an extensive acquisition programme for Lifestyle.
The two latest elements of this expansion are the leasing of a new store of 4,300 sq ft at Main Street, Killarney, at a rent of £50,000, and one of 3,800 sq ft at Bridge Street, Tralee, also at £50,000.
In Dublin, Jones Lang Wootton has leased the former Norwich Irish Building Society office on Nassau Street to Monaghans Menswear at a rent of £75,000, together with key money. The terms equate to a Zone A rent of 120 per sq ft for the 1,531 sq ft premises. Ganly Walters acted for the tenant.
