Think Black Friday is over? These eight deals are still on the table

Colourful KitchenAids, luxurious rugs and designer beds are quality buys

A stand mixer is like a third hand in the kitchen, helping you beat, knead, mix, shred and blend. One hundred years since its debut, the KitchenAid's sturdy design and appealing retro lines continue to make cooks weak at the knees. And although prices have come down in the past few years the price, too, has made many feel weak. Normally €579 at Dominic Smith Electrical Expert, the Empire Red version has been reduced by almost half, to €299 – to make all your Christmas food preparations a piece of cake.

If you're in the market for a new sofa then Michael Murphy's Irish-made Croft collection is a smart design that will work in contemporary and period settings. It is upholstered in a deep marine blue that resembles an indigo denim but has an Aquaclean coating that works for families as it can be cleaned using water alone. The beech hardwood frame has foam-filled pocket-sprung seats and it can be custom made to order in a range of colours. The three-seat version was €1,399, reduced by 10 per cent to €1,249. The two-seat version, €1,249, has been reduced by 8 per cent to €1,149. You could add texture with these fringed Shiva cushions, by Irish brand Scatterbox, down from €29 to €23.20. The sale ends on November 26th.

If your bedroom and landing flooring is looking tired then the Victoria Raschel range from Wilton Carpets, a 100 per cent wool, high-end designer range with an extra heavy-duty rating, is a quality buy that can withstand all the knocks a busy family will give it. It feels good underfoot and will wear really well. Available in 10 styles and exclusive to TC Matthews, it is now less than half price, reduced from €92.50 to just €39.95 a yard, the cost of many less well-performing synthetic designs that go flat after very little wear.

It can be tricky to find a smart but unobtrusive dinner table pendant. Lighting firm Umage's Asteria pendant, is a slim LED design that comes in red, anthracite, green, mother of pearl and teal (pictured), and will work really well in smaller rooms. Normally €198 it is reduced by 20 per cent to €154.50 at Meadows & Byrne. Another good buy is its Chenilla pouf, a solid footstool that comes in four colourways and two sizes; medium, originally €199 but now €140, and large, originally €239, now €191.

If you're looking for a new dining table to have the family round for Christmas then the Scandi-style oak Wilbur dining table, which has slim, slightly curved legs, is reduced to €695, from €799, at Harvey Norman. The chain is also selling a slick Bjorn bed frame in an elephant grey polyester fabric. The double is nearly half price, down from €799 to €448. The firm's Chisa tub chair, in a plush forest green is down 20 per cent to €397 from €499. And if you're in the market for home accessories then take a look at its Blenheim mirror, a gold-finished frame that looks good just leaning against a wall in a hall or bedroom. It has been reduced from €575 to €475. And the utterly decadent Gatsby cushions, tassled confections, reduced from €30 to €20, are fripperies worth buying. They will add personality to beds and seating and might even break into a few Charleston steps.

A rug adds warmth and texture to wood and tiled flooring so check out the range at Cork-based Caseys where there is an additional 10 per cent off all rugs this weekend. Pictured is Funk, a vibrant, multicoloured New Zealand wool design that will make any room pop. It comes in six different sizes, starting at 120 by 170cm which usually costs €235. Buy it today and you pay €211.50. Caseys' Black Friday sale ends Monday.

It's hard to find a decent looking contemporary bed but Habitat's Ottotori is a sleek design that boxes clever because it also has storage underneath for blankets, bed linen and pillows. You can order in luxe anthracite-coloured velvet, wool or leather and it comes in three sizes; double, 140cm, king size, 160cm or super king size, 180cm, with cost of delivery to Ireland starting from €135. The super king size in velvet was about €2,748, now reduced to €1,626, a saving of 40 per cent.

If you're looking to decorate some walls in your home then Jando Design's Dublin landmarks will bring colour and pep to any space. The design house is offering 10 per cent off its entire range of prints. The largest size, A1, 59.4cm by 84.1cm, bought online, normally costs €160 unframed – now €144 – and €300 framed – now €270.
