AMERICAN Golf Discount Centre, part of the British retailers specialising in golf equipment and accessories, has leased a retail unit in Tallaght Retail Centre in west Dublin.

The company will be paying a rent of £55,000 for the 2,600-square-foot unit, with an additional 400 square feet at first floor level. The initial rent equates to £20 per square foot and £7.50 for the accommodation overhead. The tenant will be able to avail of double rent allowances and a relief of rates for 10 years. The company's sales turnover is in excess of £13.5 million in 1995. Mason Owen & Lyons acted for American Golf, which is now seeking two similar retail stores in the northern and south-east suburbs of the city. Spain Courtney Doyle represented the developers.
