At Home auction, June 17th.  Set of George IV silver dessert dishes in the form of vine leaves, €16,500 (€6,000-€10,000).  The Dunsandle Service: extensive Victorian double-threaded fiddle-patterned silver dinner service, €12,000 (€8,000-€12,000). Marble-topped serpentine side table, circa 1830, which once belonged to William Randolph Hearst, €8,000 (€8,000-€10,000). Set of four neo-classical silver candlesticks, €7,000 (€6,000-€8,000). Chinese silk wall hanging, €6,000 (€6,000-€10,000). Rare Irish Georgian silver double-lidded table snuff casket, Dublin 1750, €5,200 (€2,000-€3,000).  Mahogany, satinwood and marquetry inlaid Carlton House writing desk, €3,200 (€2,500-€3,300). Large silver two-handled presentation tray relating to the Eighth King’s Royal Irish Hussars, €2,300 (€1,600-€2,200).

 Bonhams, New Bond Street, London.  Modern British and Irish Art sale, June 13th. Jack B Yeats, Donnelly’s Hollow was the top lot at the sale, making €391,475 (€340,000-€570,000).  A 1945 painting by the British painter and stage designer John Minton, Summer Landscape, sold for €170,641 (€34,000-€57,000), setting a new world record at auction for a work on paper by the artist.
