DUBLIN 16 FROM €300,000:The final four homes, two of them large penthouses, go for sale this weekend at Ballintyre, Dublin 16

RAY GREHAN’S Glenkerrin Homes is hoping to wrap up sales this weekend at its long running Ballintyre development in Dublin 16.

The last remaining four homes, including two large three-bedroom penthouses, are being released for sale at prices in line with the fall in values over the past year.

A two-bedroom apartment with 70.9sq m (764sq ft) is available at €355,000, the same price as in 2004 when Glenkerrin first launched the Ballintyre homes off plans. These apartments were making €470,000 at the height of the property boom.

Glenkerrin has also trimmed back its price from the early €400,000s to €300,000 for the last remaining one-bedroom mews which has been created out of a former stable. It has a floor area of 58.9sq m (635sq ft) and lots of atmosphere.

For those looking for something special there are the two three-bedroom penthouses with spectacular fit-outs and oodles of space.

One of them, priced at €650,000 (€200,000 less than two years ago), has 148sq m (1,600sq ft) of space including a large reception room, vaulted ceilings, central vacuum system, classy bathrooms and great views over the city or the Dublin mountains.

An even more spacious three-bedroom penthouse of 225sq m (2,430sq ft) has a price tag of €850,000, down a full €350,000 from its original selling price.

This penthouse is particularly attractive and features bling bathrooms with free-standing baths and double basins.
