KILDARE businessman Bert Keenan has finally obtained planning permission to enlarge the Stillorgan Plaza shopping centre in Stillorgan, Co Dublin. When redeveloped, it will have a six-screen cinema complex, five retail units, a modified banking hall and offices at first floor level. Additional car-parking will be provided by means of a deck at upper ground floor level at the side and rear of the building.

In Limerick, An Bord Pleanala has refused planning permission for an eight-cinema complex and car-park at Childers Road, adjacent to the Southern ring road and Rosbrien Road in Ballinacurra.
