Dunnes Stores is to redevelop its Henry Street store

Dunnes Stores is to redevelop its Henry Street store. It has just lodged a planning application to demolish its two-storey building, which has frontage on to Cole's Lane and Sampson's Lane as well as Henry Street. Only part of the Henry Street frontage will be retained and, when completed, the store will have almost 91,000 sq ft in a three storey over basement premises. In Dun Laoghaire, Landmark Developments has secured permission to convert the Hotel Pierre on a Victorian terrace overlooking the sea into 23 apartments.

Meanwhile Park Developments has also got approval to develop 262 houses on 16.52 acres at Kingston, Balally, Sandyford, Dublin 18. The company has agreed to set aside 26 units as either social or affordable housing.

In the city centre, the Anchor Partnership has a mixed scheme at 7/11 Sir John Rogerson's Quay. The 132,000 sq ft development will be used mainly as offices, but will also include eight "live/work" units and a restaurant.
