Dublin Docklands Development Authority is planning to provide a development of "affordable houses" on a site it has bought at East Road, off East Wall Road in the docklands. The authority paid £2.45 million at auction for the site of 1.8 acres which has over 50,000 sq ft of buildings. It is understood that the property was sold on behalf of a company controlled by Eastland Warehousing and businessman Harry Crosbie.
