The Cuban embassy, which moved to 31 Kincora Park in Clontarf, Dublin 3 in September, has sought permission for a change of use of the premises. The ChargΘ d'affaires of the embassy has lodged a planning application with Dublin Corporation to allow it to use part of an existing house as an embassy.
It is planned to use the existing front lounge as an occasional reception room and a second floor as an administrative office. A three-metre flagpole will be erected in the grounds.
