Lisney secured £1.5 million (€1.9m) at auction yesterday for Carrigoona, a four-bedroom detached house standing on two-thirds of an acre on Ceanchor Road, Baily, Howth. The property, which made slightly over its guide price of £1.4 million (€1.78m), was bought in trust by Finnegan Menton. It has views of the sea from the lawn.

Elsewhere in Howth, a two-bedroom cottage on 0.66 acres, Kitestown Cottage on Kitestown Road, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which is seeking £560,000 (€711,053).

In Malahide, a five-bedroom detached house on 1.25 acres, Castledowns on Back Road, was withdrawn at £1.1 million (€1.4) and sold later for a higher figure through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Clontarf, Dublin 3, a three-bedroom semi-detached house at 53 Hollybrook Grove was sold at auction for £253,500 (€321,878) by GWD.

In Castleknock, Dublin 15, a six-bedroom house, The Stables at Oak Park, was withdrawn by Ganly Walters which is quoting £2.5 million (€3.17m).

South Dublin

In Foxrock, Dublin 18, a four-bedroom bungalow on 0.5 acres, Beechwood on Kilteragh Drive, was sold at auction for £765,000 (€971,349) through Daphne L Kaye & Associates.

In Mount Merrion, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 33 Sycamore Road was withdrawn at £650,000 (€825,329) and sold later for a higher figure through Lisney.

A two-bedroom mews house, Aulden Cottage on Brighton Avenue, Monkstown was sold at a Lisney auction for £530,000 (€672,961).

HOK Residential is seeking £650,000 (€825,329) for 5 Breffni Terrace, Sandycove, a two-storey over garden level five-bedroom period house following its withdrawal from auction at £620,000 (€787,237).

In Goatstown, Dublin 14, a five-bedroom detached house at 28 Mount Anville Lawn was withdrawn at £560,000 (€711,053) and sold later for £615,000 (€780,888) through Sherry FitzGerald.

A three-bedroom semi-detached house at 43 Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 was withdrawn by JacksonStops which is seeking £320,000-plus (€406,316).

Dublin 2 and 4

In Dublin 4, Lisney is seeking £2.1 million (€2.6m) for a four-bedroom detached house, Abingdon at St Alban's Park, following its withdrawal from auction.

In Ballsbridge, a four-bedroom townhouse at 61 Haddington Road was withdrawn at £540,000 (€685,658) by Pembroke McDonnell which is quoting £595,000 (€755,494).

In Sandymount, a four-bedroom detached house on 0.33 acres with development potential at 79 Sandymount Avenue, Sandymount, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £1.17 million (€1.49m).

Lisney is seeking £790,000 (€1m) for 21a Morehampton Lane, Donnybrook, a five-bedroom detached mews house, after it failed to sell at auction yesterday.

In Dublin 2, a three-bedroom mews house at 5 Pembroke Place was withdrawn by Gunne Residential, which is seeking £1.1 million (€1.4m).

Dublin 6 and 8

In Terenure, a four-bedroom detached house, St Anne's at 65 Whitehall Road was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £430,000 (€545,987).

A three-bedroom dormer bungalow at 30 Springfield Crescent, Templeogue was withdrawn at £320,000 (€406,316) and sold later for over the guide price of £350,000 (€444,408) by Lisney.

In Rathgar, 61 Rathgar Avenue, a two-bedroom villa-style house made £280,000 (€355,526) at a Sherry FitzGerald auction.

Sherry FitzGerald is seeking £595,000 (€755,494) for a three-bedroom end of terrace house at 33 Ormond Road, Rathmines, following its withdrawal from auction.

In Ranelagh, a two-bedroom terraced house at 18 Gulistan Terrace was sold prior to auction for over £340,000 (€431,710) by Hassett & Fitzsimons.

A two-bedroom end of terrace house at 63 Lombard Street West, Dublin 8, made £355,000 (€450,757) at a Lisney auction.

Provincial

A two-bedroom mid-terrace house at Pound Street, Maynooth, Co Kildare was sold at auction for £125,000 (€158,717) through Carey Auctioneers.

A 20-acre non-residential farm on the Clane Road, Kilcock, was withdrawn at £325,000 (€412,664) and is under negotiation through Coonan.

Still in Kilcock, the same agent withdrew a six-acre holding on the Summerhill Road. In Co Meath, a 40-acre residential farm at Follistown, Navan, was sold at auction for £460,000 (€584,079) through Smith Auctioneers.

T E Potterton sold a property in two lots at Mooretown, Ratoath, Co Meath: Lot 1, a house on 0.6 acres, made £217,500 (€276,168) while Lot 2, comprising 2.8 acres, sold for £55,000 (€69,835).

Near Ballivor, the same agent fetched £54,000 (€68,565) at auction for a 16-acre holding at Killyon.

Commercial

In Co Kildare, Colm McEvoy secured £404,000 (€512,974) at auction for Malones convenience store at Caragh Village, Naas.

Also in Co Kildare, seven apartments, a shop unit and site at Church Street, Kilcock was withdrawn at £400,000 (€507,895) by Coonan.

A retail property at 24 Barronstrand Street, Waterford was sold at auction for £550,000 (€698,355) through O'Shea O'Toole.

Reddys public house on High Street, Waterford was withdrawn by John Rohan which is seeking about £1.3 million (€1.65m).

Still in Waterford, an 8,000 sq ft building housing Waterworld at The Manor was withdrawn by John Rohan.

In Dungannon, Co Tyrone, The Oaklin House Hotel, Moy Road, was withdrawn at £1.6 million (€2.03m) and is under negotiation through Gunne.
