Do you think you have a healthy lifestyle?

I do. I eat well and I try to do some sort of exercise everyday so I think it’s fair to say I’d be healthy. It’s something I’ve always been conscious of, but particularly since I’ve started to work in the media I’d make a point of looking after myself. I think I must be doing something right because I never really get sick.

How often do you exercise?

I exercise everyday. The only exception would be if I had a particularly long day at work. It’s part of my routine now and I actually really enjoy it. I love to walk. I’m lucky I live in Monkstown near the sea. I also really like the Phoenix Park. I like to swim too and recently I’ve started to bring the walking up to running.

Would you get your five a day?

I think I probably do. I could have two or three pieces of fruit as part of my breakfast so before I’ve left the house; I’ve made good start. At lunch, I’d have peppers; tomato or celery and I’d have a few pieces of veg with my dinner. I’m certainly getting five pieces, I just don’t know if they are the correct portion size to qualify.

Do you worry?

I probably am a little bit of a worrier, but I think I’m made that way. I do have to keep myself in check. Sometimes your head can go off in a tangent worrying about something that hasn’t even happened. I say to myself, try to just take one day at a time.

What do you do to relax?

I do like watching TV, even though I work in a television station and there are monitors all over the place. I like going to the cinema and I like reading - I’m in the middle of Gone Girl at the moment. And I like spending time with friends over a coffee.

What’s your unhealthiest habit?

I have a sweet tooth that I have to keep in check. I love chocolate and I love crisps and if they were fat free, I’d eat them all the time. I don’t smoke. A lot of people in the media smoke but I think that’s ridiculous because your voice is your tool, and also it just makes you prone to colds and chest infections. I’m totally anti-smoking.
