Irish in Middle East: How do you cope with the summer heat?

As temperatures reach 50 degrees, tell us what it is like and how you keep your cool

Across the Middle East, temperatures have touched 50 degrees in recent weeks in some places, but it is hot, hot, hot everywhere.

We want to hear from Irish people living in the region about how you cope with the heat.

What did it feel like the first time you experienced such high temperatures? Were you prepared? Does it get easier with time? What do you do to escape it? And is it a case of going from air-con home to air-con car to air-con office with minimum time spent outdoors? If so, do you miss the fresh air?

Send your experiences to abroad@irishtimes.com, including some background about you: where you live and what you do there, and when you left Ireland and why. Please also provide a summery photograph of yourself where you live now. A selection may be published online. Thank you.
