Good news for those ethically-minded lovebirds who want to put their own stamp on everything from the proposal to the wedding. Kilkenny-based Marie Therese Walker has just become Ireland’s first fully certified Fairtrade gold jeweller.

All MTW Jewellery pieces can now be made using gold sourced from the Sotrami mine in Peru, and Ireland’s first Fairtrade gold customers are set to walk down the aisle this July with a beautiful pair of bespoke bands.

Walker received her accreditation just in time for Fairtrade Fortnight 2013, which kicks off on February 25th with photo exhibitions, and various fashion workshops and events throughout the country. To commission a Fairtrade piece, contact MTW Jewellery at mtwjewellery.com. See fairtrade.ie.
