EOIN DUIGNAN
Lumina Duigo Music
****

Dingle-based piper Eoin Duignan has long been known as a reflective player who's not afraid to marry unlikely bedfellows such as harmonium with the pipes. Lumina is a six-part musical suite, inspired by the magnificent Harry Clarke stained-glass windows in Dingle's Díseart Chapel. It's a circuitous journey, tracing a scenic route from birth to death and re-birth. Duignan harnesses the trepidation of birth, the unfettered wily energy of youth and the baroque-tinged wisdom of old age to set the mood changes in this organic and cohesive album.
