The Ticket Awards are now open. Who wins? You decide

You have until midnight on Sunday to pick the best bits, and we’ll print the results in order of merit in next week’s The Ticket

Who rocked your world last year? Was it Girl Band or Tale Impala? Did Grimes get your goat or did Kendrick move your feet? And when it came to the big screen, who stole the show? Did Inside Out win your hearts and minds? Is Queen of Ireland the Irish film of the year? And who gave the best performance: Steve Carell or Jordanne Jones?

In last week's Ticket, our critics, writers and contributors picked their best film and music for 2015. We locked them in a room with only pens and staples to fashion rudimentary weapons from; days later, they emerged, Katniss Everdeen-like, with a list of names that The Ticket can be proud of. That, however, is only half of this tortured Hunger Games analogy, and it is now up to you, dear readers, to pick the true Mockingjays of 2015.

Go to The Ticket Awards page and make your picks for the best music and film of the year. You can choose from our shortlists or make your own entirely fresh suggestions (we're a benevolent cultural dictatorship around here).
