The In Conversation series, which has included sparkling interviews - one conducted by Helen Meany with Yevgeny Arye and Ori Levy of the Gesher Theatre from Tel Aviv, which brought us The Village, and another conducted by Karen Fricker with Neil Armfield, director of Cloudstreet, has a highlight tomorrow, in an interview by Fintan O'Toole with Seamus Heaney, translator of the English National Opera's Diary of One Who Vanished (Gaiety, 6 p.m.), and another on Saturday when Deborah Warner, the director of the show, and Garry Hynes talk to Mary Holland (Connolly Auditorium, Liberty Hall, 1 p.m.) The Writer's Programme, which has included the reading of a play by Nick Kelly, continues on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Gate Theatre with the reading of The Article by Joe O'Byrne. Free admission to these events.

The Theatre Shop for theatre professionals runs tomorrow in the Dublin Writers' Museum, Parnell Square, from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Delegates from more than 100 companies and venues around Ireland will be getting a chance to mix with international guests from venues and events such as Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms, the Bonn Biennale, the Bristol Old Vic, the Hampstead Theatre, the Royal Court and Liverpool's Everyman Theatre. There will be a keynote address and discussion, with a panel including Fiach Mac Conghail of Expo 2000, Mark Dobson, International Director of Northern Stage, Newcastle, Christian Schiaretti, Artistic Director of the Comedie de Reims, France and Sally Cowling, Head of Drama and Dance with the British Council, on "Interpretations of Internationalism". The seminars will be on: "E-commerce and theatre"; the "New Copyright Bill"; and "Beginners' Guide" (a presentation and clinic for new and unsubsidised theatre companies). After lunch, the one-to-one meetings will be held, followed by an open-mike session.
