WITH a capacity audience of 4,500 for each show, sets averaging 80 x 60 feet and two giant video screens relaying the action throughout the theatre, Sleeping Beauty (Sort Of!) at the Point in Dublin will certainly be the biggest (and brashest) Christmas pantomime to reach our shores to date.
Panto doyenne extraordinaire Twink is this year opting for a pyrotechnic performance as an outrageous, intergalactic nanny at the Point. Joined by that inimitable purple dinosaur, Barney, broadcaster Gerry Ryan, and teen idols OTT, these familiar characters will throw Sleeping Beauty (played by trapeze artist Elaine Courtney) into a frenzy of emotion as she awaits her handsome prince (Russian circus star, Guido).
