LYNES & Lynes auction at Arbutus Lode, Montenotte, Cork, next Tuesday evening promises to be a lively one as there are several quality pieces among the 400 or so lots. A 19th century pollard oak sideboard could fetch £8,000 to £10,000 - it may have been made by MacWilliam & Gibton, according to Denis Lynes.
A set of six Cork Regency chairs are estimated at £1,000-£1,200 while a Regency side cabinet is valued at £3,000-£4,000. Letitia M. Hamilton's colourful oil of St Patrick's Quay Cork will appeal to local buyers, pushing its price towards the upper estimate of £8,000.
Less expensive lots include four Victorian oil lamps (£100-£300) and a rare double spouted English teapot (£500-£600).
Viewing will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
