These days, there's nothing a person can conceive of that doesn't already exist on the internet. Flat-earth conspiracy theories? (Testify, B.o.B!) Lord of the Rings porn parodies? (Take a bow, Dildo Shaggins!) Suit of armour designed to be worn by a guinea pig? (For sale on eBaby, naturally.) By the standards of the online age then, an all-girl J-pop slash heavy metal act seems almost boringly prosaic. Babymetal are three teenage Japanese pop princesses who combine hard rock riffs with synchronised dance routines. There's a market for bacon flavoured toothpaste. So there's probably an audience for this.

Avec Sans - Heartbreak Hi

Avec Sans may sound like a candidate for the title of Microsoft's most annoying new font, but it's actually the moniker of ace London electro-pop duo Alice Fox and Jack St James. Heartbreak Hi is a swoonsome break-up track the pair recorded almost four years ago, but have only just now gotten around to shooting a video to promote. Their eponymous debut album Avec Sans is available to purchase at Pledge Music.

Leon Vynehall is a Brighton-based music producer and this new track Blush was, apparently, inspired by a National Geographic documentary he saw about bird-of-paradise courtship rituals... Leon, I'ma let you finish. But this sleek collage of animal noises says nothing to me about my life.

Rihanna - Kiss It Better

"What are you willing to do?" demands Rihanna on this steamy new video from her eighth studio album Anti. (The song you've been hearing on the radio, which you may have assumed was her new single, is Lush Life by Swedish soundalike Zara Larson.) Well RiRi, I work in print journalism. If there's cash money involved, just about anything short of murder is the honest answer.
