Danielle Moore Of Crazy P
What's on your rider?Brandy – the medicinal juice of champions –, wine, crisps, fruit, tea, honey, "snacks", Coca Cola . . . hmmmm, maybe we should add pies.
What would be on your fantasy rider?Well, I'd like a masseuse, maybe a friendly dog for pre-gig therapy, a horse to ride onto stage with, post-gig dressing gowns and slippers, a jaccuzzi. That's just off the cuff. There's potential to get deeper and darker. Actually, maybe just more brandy, please.
What's the best gig you've been to?I think the lads would say War. They are a fave of the band and are still as good as ever. For me it's Prince, with Grace Jones a close second. As a team we were lucky enough to be on the same bill as Moloko in Australia in 2004, and they were a great band to watch. A truly inspirational and unique dance band.
Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?Kevin Spacey turned up to a gig in London, and Sir Ian McKellan. We're not sure they had pre- planned the visit, but it was an honour. If anyone watches Corrie, we had Chris Fountain at a small DJ gig in Manchester. He was a wonderfully refreshing guy.
Most embarrassing on-stage moment?Gold sparkly trousers splitting right up the bottom to the front crotch region, revealing a bare bottom! I had no knickers on so had to side step off stage and put a pair of knickers over the top of said pants and carry on like a rejected superhero.
Groupies. Would you?Yes. NO!!! Yes. Well, it depends!
Have you a special stage wardrobe?I do, yes. I've got a super lady on the wardrobe front. Her name is Natasha Lawes and she's clothed many a diva. I love clothes and I love dressing up. It's empowering! To ditch jeans and jumpers, and step into large shoulder pads and glitter is always something I look forward to.
Any useful stage tips?Always make sure you're wearing knickers; if not, don't wear anything that's likely to reveal your privates! Make good eye contact with people. Remember it's a performance. Have water to hand. I could go on forever but I fear people would fall asleep.
If you could be in any other band, which one?I'd be the Sheila E in Prince's band.
What's the worst thing ever thrown at you?A bra! I want undies. NOW!
