Pop Corner: Florrie hits it hard, Adele gets on the Spice, Bieber explains the monkey

And Katy Perry fill us in on why she prefers therapy to tweeting

TRACK OF THE WEEK
Florrie - Real Love

It's no secret that we're big Florrie fans round here. Drummer for Girls Aloud, Xenomania (look 'em up) writer, model, emoji fan and more. It feels like Florrie has been on the cusp of something big for a while, and we reckon this is the track that's gonna do it for her. With dreamy, evocative lyrics, and a huge rush of 'ohhs' post-chorus, this is sweet as ice-cream and just as cool. Plus, we can't recommend the video highly enough.

Heroes of the week are The Spice Girls, according to Adele. Adele told Vogue: "People always think I joke about this, but The Spice Girls blew up when I was seven. And seeing them coming from a humble background - there was hope in it. It was really a massive part of my life when the whole Girl Power thing happened." Zig a zig ah!

Finally, an answer to the most pressing issue of our times – how did Justin Bieber get a monkey all those years ago? Justin told GQ: "It wasn't like I went looking for a monkey or anything. It just kind of fell in my lap." He went on: "In Germany, that monkey's endangered or something… but I had the papers. I even had it written out that he was a circus monkey and he could travel and all that shit. I had all the right papers. Things get twisted. Everyone told me not to bring the monkey. I was like, 'It's gonna be fine, guys!' It was the farthest thing from fine." We live and we learn.

Zero of the week is mindless tweeting, Katy Perry cautions. She told the New York Times that she takes a breath before blasting on social. I do this thing where I just save as draft. Save as draft and sleep - and then wake up and go, "Nah." It's not worth it, you know? Or I just book my therapist."
