ELSEWHERE in the salerooms, diningroom furniture was among the top selling lots at auction. Last Sunday at Town & Country a Victorian mahogany extension dining table fetched £2,200, while a 19thcentury mahogany crossbanded sideboard fetched £1,700.
At Mullens on Monday evening, the two top selling lots were dining chairs: a set of eight Edwardian mahogany, Georgian-style chairs and a set of 12 shield-back mahogany chairs sold for £2,800 each.
