Brass-dial longcase clock for £1,800 plus

Mullen Bros of Oldcastle, Co Meath, has its next auction this Tuesday, starting at 6.30 p.m., when a 19th century oak extending dining table (12 feet long) is expected to sell for £1,500-£1,800. An early Victorian mahogany oval library table could go for £1,200-£1,500, a pair of 19th century hall chairs £300-£400, a Victorian two-door wardrobe £300-£500 and a white marble fireplace £800-£1,000.

Finally, possibly the day's highest price will be made by a mahogany, brass- dial longcase clock by James Aickin of Cork; it carries a pre-sale estimate of £1,800-£2,000.
