UTV plans to acquire 100 per cent of County Media, the radio group in which it yesterday took a controlling 60 per cent stake for £17.1 million. If a full takeover was not sanctioned after the Irish Radio and Television Commission's 2001 annual review of County Media, UTV has options to acquire the balance for sale to a third party.
