Tullow Oil will supply gas from its Sara field in Pakistan to the country's national utility under a new agreement.

The Sara field, discovered in 1994, will supply gas to WAPDA's Guddu power station. Agreement has been reached with Tullow's partners in the field to build a 45 kilometre pipeline to transport the gas to Guddu.

Managing director, Mr Aidan Heavey, said the turnover and cash-flow from the Sara field would assist the company "in accelerating exploration and development activities in the region".
