Split Stick, $24.99

Sometimes it’s necessary to keep your work and your personal files separate, just in case those holiday photos make it into your very important work presentation. Rather than carry around two USB sticks, however, the Split Stick makes it possible to keep both on one device, but still keep them separate. It’s a double-sided USB drive, with two separate retractable USB dives at either end. Both have 4GB of space giving you 8GB in total, and it’s still slim and light. It also have both ends clearly marked – one for home, one for work – so there’s little chance of mixing them up.

Altec Lansing inMotion Air

There’s little point in having great music on your digital player if you can’t share it. The Altec Lansing InMotion Air speaker gives you the chance to do just that.

Not only does it ditch the power cords, it also dumps the rest of the cables, allowing you to connect wirelessly over Bluetooth. It uses Apt-X audio technology to ensure the sound isn’t a sub-par, tinny mess, as some Bluetooth audio can be, and supports both iTunes and Windows Media Centre.

A remote control allows you to control your media libraries, and synching your device to the speaker is speedily done.

The rechargeable battery lasts for up to seven hours, and the speaker even has a carry handle.
