Irish mobile company Digital Reach Group is to expand its operations in the US following its acquisition by Take 5, a Florida-based marketing company.

The deal is expected to create 20 jobs in Ireland, adding to DRG’s existing 16-strong workforce. DRG’s chief executive Colm Grealy will join the board of Take 5.

Take 5, which is backed by New York-based private equity firm Kinderhook Industries, will work with DRG to offer clients in the US services, including apps, mobile websites, location-based services, mobile couponing and QR codes.

DRG, which is backed by private investment company Pageant Holdings, counts RTÉ, the BBC and Communicorp among its clients.
