The IE Domain Registry (IEDR), which manages the .ie namespace on the internet, this week handed over €100,000 to 10 companies to help them expand their websites. The presentation, attended by Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore, was the culmination of the IEDR’s Optimise programme, launched earlier this year to help more Irish businesses develop fully-featured e-commerce based websites

The small and medium-sized businesses that received €10,000 of technical and marketing supports each were: the National Leprechaun Museum; Paul Carberry Racewear; Galway Bead Shop; Seymours Fine Foods; Connacht Tribune; Kate and Ava; WhiteRiver Park; Element Software; Irish Decal Products; and Newsaccess.
