Digital and physical worlds collide with Osmo

Fun, engaging and sneakily educational games for iPad

Real world, meet digital world. Digital, meet real. Osmo combines both into an iPad game that’s aimed at children, but let’s be honest, you’ll probably end up having a sneaky go yourself. It comes with a special stand and reflector, and physical pieces that work with your iPad to create something fun, engaging and sneakily educational.

Words, for example, offers up a picture clue for a word you have to guess by throwing the correct letter tiles in front of your iPad. Tangram uses coloured shapes to get players to match what’s displayed on screen, while Newton and Masterpiece challenge you to bust out your best drawing skills.

The games can be downloaded for free from the App store, but the stand and games pieces will cost you almost €100. firebox.com
