Muvi Micro camcorder

€79

You might think you’ve seen small digital video cameras, but the Muvi Micro is one of the tiniest yet. The diminutive video camera comes with 2gb of storage, which will give you about an hour of footage.

Handily, it uses Micro SD cards and is compatible with cards up to 8Gb in size, so your shooting is only limited by the amount of memory cards you can carry.

The device records in high resolution in AVI format with sound, giving an unusually high quality recording for something so tiny. With a wide angle viewing field – 72 degrees – you wont miss much with it either.

The Muvi Micro has optional voice activation for recording too and, should you decide to use the extreme sports kit and strap it to your bike, the aluminium casing should afford some degree of protection if goes horribly wrong.

Desk Phone Dock

The humble deskphone is becoming a relic of the past as more people dump older technology in favour of going mobile. However if you prefer to have something a little more retro than your fancy touch-screen mobile, the Desk Phone Dock is a handy gap-filler.

Available from today, the device will allow you to insert your iPhone into the dock and use it to make calls on an old-fashioned handset. Of course the dock looks a little more sophisticated than your standard deskphone; it has been designed to save space for a start and it also comes in the signature white that people associate with iPhones.

Looks aside, the dock is a handy device, especially if you spend half the day on your phone. You can use it for speaker calls, with the dock acting as external audio. It will also charge your iPhone while in the dock, and a USB port allows you to sync data.

LG HFB-510

€79

What is better than a Bluetooth hands-free kit? A Bluetooth hands-free kit that you don’t have to plug in to charge every day.

The LG HFB-510 is an energy saving, solar powered device that will fit easily into your car – and, more importantly, can be removed just as easily.

The unit is mounted on the windscreen, allowing it to get the benefit of the few hours of sunlight we have while you drive.

If you get stuck for power, it also comes with an adapter that fits into your car’s cigarette lighter.

There’s no LCD screen to announce callers; instead, the NameAlert feature synchronises with your phonebook and reads out the caller’s name. If it’s an unknown number, it will read out the number instead.

The device connects up to two mobiles and will provide at least 16 hours of talk time or 1,100 hours of standby time from a full charge.
