FURNITURE from the home of the missing insurance broker Mr Tony Taylor, which has been kept in storage at a weekly charge of more than £90, was yesterday released to his wife Ms Shirley Taylor by the High Court.

The court was told there would be a claim on the furniture by Ms Taylor's sister, who was not named, and her son Paul.

The President of the High Court, Mr Justice Costello, who made the order for the release of the furniture to Ms Taylor, said the liquidator appointed to the Taylor group could apply for an injunction to prevent Ms Taylor from selling it.

Mr Michael Collins SC, for the liquidator, Mr Paddy McSwiney of BDO Simpson Xavier, Merchants Quay, Dublin, yesterday applied to be joined as a notice party to the proceedings.

Ms Jaqueline Liunane, counsel for the National Irish Bank, said the bank which had put the furniture into storage at a cost of more than £90 a week last December, was due to close the sale of the Taylor home, known as "Somerset" on Anglesea Road, Dublin, next Tuesday.

Ms Linnane said contact had been made between the bank and Ms Taylor's solicitors regarding the release of the furniture.

Mr Collins said the liquidator was claiming an interest in the furniture and the carpets and curtains.
