Traffic jams are damaging the economy, accounting for millions of lost hours, the Small Firms Association said yesterday. A company with six employees could lose up to nine weeks' productivity a year from a 10-minute delay each day in traffic, said SFA director Mr Pat Delaney. "It is estimated that a 15-minute delay at Dublin Port increases the annual cost of transport by £24 million," he added.
