Mr Pat Rabbittee is requesting that the chairman of the Revenue Commissioners attends a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee at an early date to discuss the efficacy of Revenue procedures as they apply to financial institutions. In a letter to the chairman of the committee, Mr Jim Mitchell, Mr Rabbitte said that his request arose from public concern about the disclosures concerning National Irish Bank. Referring to a recent statement from NIB, Mr Rabbitte said it was evident that the Ansbacher case was not unique.
