Speaking of sponsorship, there were surely a few palpitations in Irish Life with Padraig Harrington's shaky start to the last round of the Munich Open. Fortunately the Rathfarnham man fought back and came through to win Ryder Cup qualification - leading the "proud" sponsors to take full-page ads earlier this week. To make things better last Sunday Irish Permanent employee, Fionnan Murray, scored the goal that sealed victory for Cork. Perhaps it is a good omen for the main sports sponsorship of Irish Life's partners - the Irish Permanent - the Irish rugby team, as they head towards the World Cup. Perhaps. . .
