"TECHNOLOGICAL difficulties which have prevented the printing of the Evening News by Co Meath based Maypark Printers Ltd, should be resolved in the next week or so, according to sources.

The Evening News was initially printed by both Maypark and the Midland Tribune Group, in Birr, Co Offaly. Difficulties with the ISDN line to Maypark led to the Birr plant taking on the entire run. This is now being rectified.

Copies for the midlands, west, and the south will be printed and distributed from Birr. Dublin editions will come from Ashbourne.
