More than 50 per cent of Irish people have expressed an interest in working from home - e-working - according to new research findings from the Information Society Commission. The commission report, E-Work: an activity, not a place, found the business community was still reluctant to allow employees work from home. The main barrier cited by two-thirds of businesses was that e-working was not suited to their particular businesses. Other concerns were time wasting and reduced control over employees.
