The first Irish workshop organised by the Make It With Lasers programme a British initiative aimed at encouraging the use of laser technology in industry takes place next Thursday in the Great Southern Hotel, Dublin Airport. The workshop will provide an opportunity for managers, researchers, scientists and engineers to hear practical talks on the issues involved in setting up laser processes in a manufacturing environment. It will also provide practical demonstrations of laser processing and there will be an opportunity to interact on a one-to-one basis with scientists and professionals in the business. The workshop will be co-hosted by the Optronics Ireland Programme in Advanced Technology and the National Centre for Laser Applications (NCLA), NUI, Galway.
