MASTERLINK LOGISTICS has begun recruitment for 36 new positions at a north Co Cork deliveries depot as part of a €5 million expansion programme.
The Irish-owned company announced plans for a €5.2 million investment in its new depot at Mallow where the 36 jobs will be centred around administration, goods packaging and delivery co-ordination.
Masterlink Logistics provides support and delivery services to the retail, drinks and fast-moving consumer goods markets. Headquartered in Blarney, it employs 240 people countrywide at depots in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Mallow. John O’Regan, managing director of Masterlink Logistics, said: “I’m very proud to be able to commit to this significant investment in Mallow, and very grateful for the support we have received from local councillors and the local community. We are confident that this investment, local support and flexible resources will provide us with the ideal platform for further growth and development in the region.”
Mallow-based Labour TD Sean Sherlock said the development of the Cork to Limerick motorway as part of the planned Atlantic Corridor route was vital to the future development of the business.
Established in 1992, Masterlink is one of the largest warehouse, transport and logistics services providers in Ireland, with a fleet of 80 vehicles.
