Share prices in Dublin rose strongly with heavy demand for most of the leaders and better quality second line stocks. Bank shares were boosted by the surge in US treasury bond prices while a general shortage of offers drove many of the industrials ahead. The strong performance came against a background of only modest gains on international equity markets.
