Longfields Hotel, a 26-bedroom hotel at 9/10 Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Dublin 2, was sold at a Gunne auction yesterday for £3,325,000.

Meanwhile, Meath County Council has voted to rezone the Killeen Estate near Dunshaughlin to allow it to be developed as a country club and conference centre. The £60 million scheme will include the restoration of an ancient castle, the development of a 250-room hotel, 70 houses and apartments, a 700-space conference centre and an 18-hold golf course.
