Green Property has begun a series of meetings with institutional shareholders in Trafford Park Estates, the British property group, which it is seeking to acquire.

Speaking at an extraordinary general meeting of the company, convened to seek approval from Green Property shareholders for the bid, chief executive, Mr Stephen Vernon said he was confident the deal would be successful.

The shareholders of Green Property unanimously approved the company's offer for Trafford Park Estates.
