Macra na Feirme will participate in its first Ploughing webcast next Tuesday, when it broadcasts from the National Ploughing Championship in Ferns, Co Wexford. Hosted by AgriNet, the webcast will link visitors to stands where the AgriNet computer package for farmers will be on display. Farmers wishing to check out the application of audio and visual technology farming techniques, can drop along to AgriNet PCs at any of five stands: AgriNet/Irish Farm Computers stand No.256; Avonmore Waterford stand No. 466; Telecom Eireann stand No. 275; Progressive Genetics stand in the Irish AI Pavilion, stand No.548 in the Livestock section and the Macra na Feirme stand at paddock 512.
All five stands will run a video conference with each other over the Internet during the championship.
Visitors can test drive the AgriNet package - a tailored farm management multimedia system - at any of the stands.
