MR Ivan Fallon has been appointed as the new chief executive of Independent Newspaper's operations in South Africa. Mr Fallon is currently deputy chief executive and editorial director of Independent Newspaper Holdings - which controls the company's business in South Africa. He succeeds Mr John Featherstone, who will become non-executive deputy chairman.
