Do not be surprised if you find your bank chief executive cashing your cheque or your supermarket chain chief executive stacking shelves later this month - it's all in a good cause.

The Irish Cancer Society yesterday launched Back to the Shop Floor - a new element in the 2002 Daffodil Campaign which invites Ireland's leading chief executives to roll up their sleeves on Daffodil Day, March 22nd, and go back to the shop floor to raise funds for the society's specialist cancer nursing services.

Tayto chief executive, Mr John Keogh, is to return to the factory floor to bag crisps, while Dublin Zoo director Mr Leo Oosterweghel will be working in the elephant house. Campbell Bewley group director Ms Veronica Campbell will be working behind the counter in a number of Bewley's cafes.

Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €3,000 through sponsorship.
