A £29 MILLION investment by Schrader Electronics, a specialist tyre-pressure systems manufacturer, is set to deliver a 130 jobs boost for Northern Ireland.

The automotive and industrial electronics company, which has plants in Antrim and Carrickfergus, intends to expand its existing production facilities and diversify its product range. Schrader Electronics manufactures remote tyre-pressure monitoring systems and senors for some of the world’s top car makers, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Ford.

It is estimated once the full quota of new manufacturing jobs comes into effect, Schrader, which is part of the London-headquartered Tomkins group, will employ 1,000 people.
