The European Central Bank said it will gradually phase out emergency lending measures and act in a “timely” and “appropriate” manner if price risks emerge.

“The Governing Council will continue to gradually phase out those extraordinary liquidity measures that are no longer needed, taking economic and financial market developments into account,” the Frankfurt-based European Central Bank said in its 2009 annual report.
